Today is an event. It’s the premiere(ish) of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

I say “ish” because there were some sneaks showing around town last night. My girl Connie Lane was supposed to have gone. Keep watching her site for the inevitable write up.

[W]hen JKR gives you something so startlingly cinematic to begin with, why not just cut and paste? The change here actually dulls the thing, makes it boring where it shouldn’t be, and misses the point in the bargain.
