Looks like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richey are out of work….

E’s cancelled The Simple Life. The series finale airs Aug. 10.

The real shocker in reading the article is that they somehow managed to run that thing for five seasons.

I’ll be honest. I didn’t even know it was still on.
I’ve never seen it either.

It ran on Fox for 2 years, then on E! for three more.

It’s all part of E!’s (now aborted) Give Dumb Blondes Their Own Shows campaign.

With Anna Nicole dead, Paris in jail and Nicole high, starving to death AND Pregnant with a crack baby the whole Peroxide Entertainment isn’t as escapist as it used to be and no longer fits the E! business model.

And if that wasn’t enough, grandpa has also disinherited Paris. Who knew there were consequences to going to jail? :)
