Unfortunate. I don’t read their blogs to “give feedback on news issues”, I read them because I like what they write personally that may or may not be related to the news.

Me, too. I’m gonna miss me some Big Joe on the Go blog. And WeatherJeff, too.

I’m with B-Mo & Brittney.

The blogs were about the PEOPLE, not the “news issues”.

Does anyone else’s head hurt from banging against these bricks?

Not really. I’d have to be surprised and/or disappointed first.

Looks like you got out of there in the nick of time, Brittney. Doesn’t seem like the new management team cares to understand the value of new media.

It’s the same old same old. People trying to make the new way of doing things work just like the way we’ve always done it. I want be checking in there anymore.

I really loved John Dwyer’s blog. He didn’t just make pithy little posts (not that there’s anything wrong with that), you could tell, he put lots of thought into them.

Oh, well.

I agree about John Dwyer’s blog…don’t care about sports but I really enjoyed his style and content. I’ll miss it.

I’m willing to cut them some slack to see if the personal touch goes away when the ‘group-blog-news-extra’ thing gets off the ground. Consolidating the blogs may not be all that bad… but it will be different.

I went there to the other WKRN blogs because NIT led me there. Now that it has gone downhill, there’s not as much incentive to go back, particularly since my expectation is that they are moving to an attempt at imitating the Daily Nightly, so it will lose the personal touch. They are real people and the blogs made it easier to relate to them as something other than the little people inside the TV.
