Update: Nashville Bloggers & Friends Picnic

Hey everybody!

Just a note to let you know that in spite of the frigid temperatures expected Sunday afternoon (down to 97°F!!!) the Nashville Bloggers & Friends Picnic is still a GO!

Yes, we tried to be good party planners and get this arranged a month ahead of time (when we thought the temps would be in the 80s)…who knew that we would be in the worst heat wave of the century?

Another snafu we have run into is that the German person who was going to graciously bring two grills for all to use has been called in to work on Sunday. So…if anybody has a grill they can bring, please let us know in the comments or e-mail me.

We know that some of you may have to back out due to health concerns with the heat. No worries. There will be other blogger meet-ups soon! However, Ivy and I will be there with our kids no matter what (mainly because we don’t miss a chance to party for any reason, but also because I can’t get my $35 reservation fee refunded, and I’m cheap!).

So bring your water balloons, water guns, ice, mini-fans, etc…no matter what, it will be FUN!!!

Remember, it’s this Sunday, August 26th from 1pm-until we spontaneously combust.

Updated to add: The picnic shelter we will be at is actually off of Clayton Avenue. So as you are on 12th, don’t turn at the Kirkwood intersection, turn at Clayton (See below). There is plenty of parking.

Also, I just went by Sevier Park, and it is actually quite comfortable under the picnic shelter. Plenty of picnic tables & seats. Also, there’s a Porta-Potty right by the pavillion, and it actually has toilet paper! (Hey…it’s the little things in life…)

Liz, just walk up to anyone and say anything you want. That’s what is so groovy about blogger mixups.
Compassion: hope you can come.
Unfortunatley, **expeltive** I can’t make it which so borks me off due to life and such, but the blonde with the golden hair is Ginger, Kat should have a clown button on and a groovy hat and Ivy will be very easy to find as she is Ivy.
John looks like a rock star.

Have fun. Raise a water bottle to those of us who couldn’t make it and have fun!!!

The German feels guilty and I told him he can not help if he has to work.

Ginger, I left you a voice mail from us too. He really feels bad (not because of this post, just upset because he is not a man who breaks his obligations).

I too feel badly since this was our part.

It’s cool, Klinde…it’s too hot to grill anyway…everybody just bring a bucket of chicken or something coool…

The German can just buy me a beer to make up for it… hehehehe!!! ;)
