Well, crap. Jet Blue’s pulling out of Nashville:
JetBlue has announced they are pulling out of Nashville effective January 6, 2008. The company says they need to “redeploy assets.” Understandable considering the cutthroat nature of the airline industry, but I’ve never flown on a JetBlue flight to or from BNA that wasn’t at least 80% full. And I fly the route quite often.
That’s too bad. Not that I fly to NYC a lot, but if I wanted to, now I can’t fly JetBlue.
Well, you can’t really blame them. The point of business is to make money and if they’re not making money, then they’ve got to change the gameplan.
Hmmm… When liberals say we need to ‘redeploy’ troops in Iraq, they say that doesn’t mean the same thing as a pullout. Sounds like JetBlue understands what it means.
Too bad though for Nashville. But the problem is there is too much competition in Nashville for NYC flights.
I think when the liberals say we need to “redeploy” troops, they are saying “Look, we are losing our ass here and there is very little opportunity to gain anything meaningful. Let’s cut our losses and get out. We can focus our resources on areas that will help us reach our goals.”
Sounds exactly the same as what JetBlue is doing.
