I love me some 100 Oaks. I don’t know why; loving 100 Oaks is sort of like loving your crazy uncle who drives an AMC Pacer and has one change of clothes. In the 17 years I’ve lived here, it’s been about 3 different things.

It’s getting yet another makeover, and Rob Robinson seems pretty excited about it even though there’s no talking robot show.

I like what I’m hearing about this project because it preserves what is working well on the property (major merchants such as CompUSA, Michael’s and the Hollywood 27 theaters) and makes good use of what is not working at all (the all-but-abandoned interior space of the mall).

As a homeowner in Berry Hill, I think this rocks.

KC, that is a perfect description of 100 Oaks. LOL

Once upon a time, 100 Oaks was a nice little mall. It hardly compares with the Cool Springs’ and Opry Mills’ of today, obviously. Seems I did a blog post once about 100 Oaks. Or Chris did. Or we both did?

there’s very little property north of Broadmoor Vandy can buy. might as well move to the suburbs.

Ahem, Berry Hill is not the suburbs.

When I lived in Nashville, in Crieve Hall, 100 Oaks was always the closest shopping spot. The Mall Management, Belz, run by Larry Wagner…what a dick.

I remember when Berry Hill was a neighborhood of people and families, kids, and the playgrounds were actually used. Corner Music. Mega Market. The Mayor (Watson) who had the stolen tractors stashed in Franklin. The 30-mph limit that was strictly enforced.

I still drive 30 through there…
;D
