Our fair state is a haven for smog, according to S-Town Mike’s latest.

Our smoggy state is ranked 17th in in the nation in carbon emissions due largely to our coal-burning power plants. The Tennessean reports that smaller counties are the worst polluters

Nuclear plants would be a good idea, don’t you think?

omg!!! Now what are we going to do since there is so much smog out there and now the law makers are going to have to do something about that as well since they banned smoking indoors….lol…This amazes me!! I thought I needed to just say that.

We need more stringent laws for the coal-burning plants. TVA is well-within federal laws for emissions (my Dad has worked for TVA for 30 years, so I’ve heard way more than I care to hear in my 27 years). And we need more public transit. I’d LOVE to ride the Music City Star from Hermitage to downtown…too bad I get off work every day when it’s not running anymore.
