Titans hire Byner

Ernest Byner, who is probably most infamous to Cleveland Browns fan for his fumble against Denver in the 1987 AFC Championship game, has joined the Titans’ coaching staff today.  He’ll take over as the running backs coach for the team.

Byner did go on to Super Bowl glory with the Washington Redskins in 1991.  He’s worked the past couple of years for the Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins.

Hopefully, Byner can make an impact on the running backs this coming season.  The Titans have been not so hot on third and short the past couple of seasons….

And along with Alge Crumpler he brings a little Greenville, NC/East Carolina background into Nashville.
