Michael at Chez Bez is heaping some lovin’ on Google’s Street View. Here he takes a peek at a house he used to live in.

Michael also made a trip to a neighborhood record store (but in person, not online though I’ll bet you can find it online): Grimey’s New & Preloved Music.
I walked past the fellow music lovers, found Caitlin’s CD, and paid my five bucks (worth every penny). Before leaving to finish my errands, I stuck around to hear Matthew Ryan sing a few songs. Every part of me was happy in the moment.
I want to go now… it reminds me a lot of the old Cut Corner Records in Lexington, Ky.
We spent WAY too much time playing with this last week!
Of course I don’t want to reveal my address online, but when you Google Street View my house, you actually see me in my car at the foot of our driveway!
Wonder how long I’ll be immortalized this way?!?
Google Street View gives me the creeps. I can see that my husband was home, my neighbor was away, my other neighbor hadn’t yet raked his leaves, and the foundation was not yet poured for the new house across the street. It feels like I’m being watched. It’s a little too much information.
Yeah, I can tell that it was late in the afternoon last summer (about 4 or 5 o’clock) when they came by my house. I was home and the cat was sitting in the window watching the google car go by. I like it better than google earth now because at least it’s me. The google earth view is from more than four years ago when the previous owners lived here.
I found me (I know… old news).
Cut Corner… quite nearby another sqeshel place…
.
I miss Squecial Media too!
Did you know The Bear at Bear’s Records?
The husband and I were bent over in the front yard, installing a new flower bed.
for some weird or top-secret reason, they skipped the block of my house and S-townMike’s.
John & STownMike probably have someone in a witness protection program on their street.

Did you know The Bear at Bear’s Records?
No, but I lived in Morehead, y’know.
.
I think I spelled Sqecial wrong.
In any case, I’m kind of jealous of the whole street view since I live in LaV. We don’t have anything that sophisticated here. I couldn’t even find one of my “for sale” signs in the yards of any of my listings. Boo!
It is a bit creepy, but interesting. I’m gonna check out some of the places I lived as a child.
As creepy as this is, it’s also extremely useful. I had to pick up a friend at his apartment last week and I only had an approximate idea of where he lived. Street view not only helped me figure out which was his building, I also figured out where to park. I’m glad they added the option for Nashville.
